I keep drawing when I should be doing schoolwork... >.>;; Oh well. XD Here are the designs for the 3 main (adult) male characters in Transalpyne. Dalton's not on here because he's, like, 13. I don't have a model for him yet. I created this one myself by tracing a standing pose from PoseManiacs
. I don't remember which one, but it's there. >.> I was a little worried at first, since the model's proportions aren't the same as how I draw freehand, but I managed.
From left to right, we have Landon, Calix and Prince Remmington.
This is Landon's second design. He also got a new hairstyle, but it's not terribly different from his old one. I kept his colour scheme (as I tried to do with all of the redesigns as best I could). His old tunic became a surcoat or... something... and the shoulder plates were replaced by its cap sleeves. The mandarin collar of his old tunic was replaced by the gathered collar of his under tunic. I kept the under tunic's long sleeves but added ruffles at the wrists to go with the neckline. The hem is decorated with a pattern because it shows and it was boring otherwise. Instead of gloves, I gave him bracers. Everyone had gloves... EVERYONE! So now they don't. I think Ashley and Dalton are the only ones now... I also fancied up Landon's boots. The Harcourt Star is all over his outfit now, with the most prominent one on his belt buckle.
Calix. Hoo boy... This is his third or fourth design, I believe, and the first one I've done by myself. That said, Loupy loved it, so it's cool. XD From his old design, I kept the arrow cuffs, which I added at the beginning to add something interesting to his otherwise-boring first design. I also kept the popped collar, which I attached to a cape instead of his shirt. He now has the iconic vampire cape. Sorta... I also kept the way Loupy did his pants. I liked them covering the tops of his boots, with a nice break at the ankle, but still kind of form-fitting along the legs. In his most recent design, Calix was essentially wearing a jumpsuit... which I found strange for a fantasy character. So I took it apart and made it more interesting. He now has a white shirt, instead of wearing all black. I kept the pants, changed his two belts to one, but kept his double swords, and gave him a vest (or doublet, or something). I also started playing with a chain motif. They hold his cape on, his vest-thing closed and his swords to his belt. I'm not sure what's going on with the cape here, but making the inside red, like most vampire capes, was just too much. Making it black made his pants and vest-thing blend into the cape. So I made it blue-ish and added stars. (?) Maybe it's magic?
Prince Remmington has only been drawn as a bust and riding a flying unicorn
. So I had a lot to work on with his design. Not sure if I'm entirely happy with it yet, but it's definitely getting there. He's a prince, so I put him in red and gold. And ruffles... Oh, the ruffles! I hate them so, and yet they are a quick and easy detail that makes anything look fancy... >.>;; So he has lots of ruffles. And brocade. That's what's going on with the coat-thing. He has similar fashion to Landon because they're both Human nobility. Fashionable things are fashionable. I also gave him a Cavalier hat. X3 When it's actually on his head, it ties together the black belt and boots rather well. I wanted to make his boots different (In my old character designs, everyone had the same boots, really) so brought them up over his knees. Not sure how well that works with his tunic length.
Long comment is long... Sorry...
